Amanda Moore McBride, PhD, MSW: Leadership and Wellness Coach


With over two decades of experience in higher education leadership, health coaching, and wellness practices, I offer a unique, holistic approach to leadership and health coaching. I believe that achieving success—whether personal, professional, or health-related—requires more than just setting goals; it demands the right mindset, expertise, and support. I am here to guide you every step of the way, applying a range of tools and techniques to help you reach your fullest potential.

I have a deep commitment to both leadership and well-being, and I have spent nearly 25 years shaping higher education at the University of Denver and Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to my scholarly accomplishments as a faculty member, I have worked across various leadership roles, including serving as dean and associate dean and by founding and leading institutes and initiatives that support community engagement and social impact.

In recent years, my focus has expanded to encompass health coaching, where I help individuals transform their lives through a more integrated approach to well-being. I am a Deepak Chopra-certified well-being coach and am in the process of earning my National Board Health and Wellness Certification. My commitment to wellness is personal as well as professional. After decades of battling poor health, I have embraced an Ayurvedic lifestyle that has enabled me to center my wellness, eliminate alcohol from my life, and become physically fit and active. This experience fuels my passion to help others navigate their own leadership and health journeys.

I am a certified yoga teacher (E-RYT200) and am in the process of completing a 300-hour training in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. I also have completed basic health training in Ayurveda, nutrition, and movement practices. These practices not only enhance my coaching approach but also enable me to offer a comprehensive, mind-body-spirit perspective in all of my work.
